  The biggest fear when visiting Hangzhou is staying close to West Lake and getting stuck on the way to West Lake. This time, I specifically chose to stay at Friendship Hotel Hangzhou for two nights, and got a clear understanding of the surrounding transportation and dining routes. Finally, I found a worry free hotel that allows me to visit without having to do any guides.
  Starting from landing in Hangzhou, I didn't take any unnecessary steps throughout the journey: I took Metro Line 1 to Longxiangqiao Station, took Exit D and walked for 3 minutes to reach the hotel. I didn't have to bask in the sun and didn't even touch the wheels of my luggage on the bumpy road surface. If you come by high-speed rail, you can take a taxi from Hangzhou Station in 20 minutes, take the subway directly from Hangzhou East Station without transferring, even if you come from Xiaoshan Airport, take the airport expressway and transfer to the urban expressway. You can park steadily at the hotel entrance in half an hour without traffic jam, and guests can also enjoy free parking. Friends who come by car don't have to worry about the pain point of "hard to find" by West Lake.
  The most amazing thing is the walking radius from the hotel. I deliberately calculated the time by ticking the clock: walk east along Pinghai Road from the hotel gate, and step directly onto the shore of the West Lake Music Fountain in 5 minutes without taking a detour or crossing the road. After watching the fountain in the evening, the crowd dispersed, and I wandered back to the hotel after two steps, without having to squeeze on the subway for half an hour like other tourists to get back to my accommodation. The Wushan Road Night Market is 276 meters away from the south. When you are hungry at night, you can eat the onion bun stew, small Shaobing (Baked cake in griddle), and freshly fried crispy meat all the way. You don't even need to order the night snack takeout.
  Just take a turn outside the hotel and you'll find Hubin Intime in77 and Federation of Trade Unions CC, covering everything from high-end beauty products to affordable snacks. If you want to buy Hangzhou souvenirs, you can just go downstairs without having to go to a specialty store. The next day, I went to Lingyin Temple and walked out of the hotel for 2 minutes to reach Longxiangqiao Bus Station. The direct bus to Lingyin started from here, without the need to transfer or squeeze into black buses. I took the bus all the way to the entrance of the scenic area, saving at least 40 minutes compared to taking a taxi from other hotels.
  Even the route to West Lake can start directly from the hotel: in the morning, rent a shared bike and walk north along Hubin Road to reach Duanqiao in half an hour. After visiting Gushan, turn back along Nanshan Road and enjoy the scenery of Liulang Wenying and Jixian Pavilion all the way. Finally, walk slowly back to the hotel without having to turn back. I stayed in Hangzhou for three days and never took a taxi that cost more than 10 yuan. I haven't even opened the navigation system much.
  I have always been afraid of staying in Hangzhou and feeling sorry for the inconvenience and high cost, but this time I found out at Friendship Hotel Hangzhou that I chose the right place to stay and didn't have to waste half of my travel time on commuting. The subway entrance is right outside, and you can reach the West Lake just by lifting your foot.   This time I came to Hangzhou for a slow trip, I didn't rush to check in at the scenic spots, and focused the whole trip on "accommodation". The front desk not only arranged a lake view room on the 22nd floor for me, but also reminded me that the blackout curtains in the room had been thickened to prevent me from sleeping well. I even casually requested a low pillow, but within ten minutes of hanging the room card, the room attendant delivered the adjusted pillow to the door.
  At the moment of pushing open the door, the exhaustion of the journey dissipated in half. There are no overly piled up internet famous decorations, warm toned wooden furniture paired with soft diffused light, and the entire room is so clean that there is no dust, even the gaps in the window edges are polished and shiny. The most unique thing is the panoramic french window, which is facing the West Lake. Sitting on the soft chair beside the window, I can see the cruise ship slowly paddling across the lake without going out. The setting sun in the evening dyed the Baochu Tower warm gold. When the music fountain lights up at night, even the light spots on the water surface can clearly fall on the curtains. The softness of the bedding just fits my shoulders and neck. I slept for three consecutive days until I woke up naturally, without any sense of recognition of the bed in a strange hotel. At night, I slept against the wind blowing from the distant lake, and even my dreams were filled with the fragrance of osmanthus.
  The appropriateness in the details cannot be hidden, and the air conditioning speed can be precisely adjusted to the lowest level, without the wind noise as loud as many hotels that affect sleep; The free drinks in the mini bar are replenished every day, and even the glass cups are wiped clean without any water stains; The speed of hot water in the bathroom is astonishingly fast, with stable hot water coming out in less than ten seconds after turning on the faucet. After taking a shower, I wrapped myself in a bathrobe and stood by the window, watching the lights on the lakeside downstairs slowly turn on, even slowing down time.
  When I checked out after three days of staying, the front desk even handed me a small box of local osmanthus cake, saying that if I got hungry while strolling around West Lake on the way, I could fill my stomach. I used to think that coming to Hangzhou would only be enjoyable if I squeezed by the lake to check in, but this time I realized that choosing the right place to stay doesn't have to rush to crowd people, and I can take in the morning and evening of West Lake while lying down.
